This page has been added in response to several messages suggesting that residents would be more comfortable about joining the site if they knew who created and maintained it

The site is has been developed and is maintained by Jeff Davies
Jeff is 81-years-of-age and lives on Lagare Street in Front Street Village

Beyond his professional background, he has a long history of volunteering and has been president of a large community association, a mentor to other community associations, a mediator with the court system, a member and chairman of a number of public boards and committees and a crisis counselor. He has masters' degrees in financial maagement and behavioral psychology

He hoped that its developpment would be supported as a community resource and presented it to both the CDD and GHMA. They both refused to encourage it. It seems that they feel that it would be used to "unfairly criticize" them. Jeff feels that residents of this community are more mature than to engage in unjustified criticizm.

He developed this site because he felt that there was a need for residents to have an opportunity of sharing their thoughts, of finding and communicating with people of similar interests, and generally participating in their community as well as providing practical help - with options to create details and ratings of local service providers, advertising items for sale, etc.

While he created it, he does not regard it as his site. He will not dictate policy or content. It will be a reflection of its content - and that will be entirely what members provide.
